He’s Not Prepared for A Relationship. Will He Ever Change?
Reader Question:
This guy and that I have already been chatting for about 36 months. We now have never been in a relationship but I have already been intimate on a number of events.
Not long ago I wanted to follow an union. He got upset at myself and informed me he isn’t prepared. He quit talking to myself for a few months. I informed him provided all of our friendship will last, a relationship isn’t important.
Do you consider he will probably previously change? Must I hold out for him?

Dr. Wendy Walsh’s Response:
Dear Shakia,
He’ll maybe not change any time you remain equivalent. All their needs are satisfied right here. He’s absolutely no reason to go into a romantic commitment if they can get every benefits without having to commit.
He also tried you by cutting off interaction for three days. While emerged running back once again to keep up with the outdated, unfulfilling friendship.
My personal advice: Tell him obviously when he’s willing to have a real, committed, partnership, the guy should contact you, but until then, you’re unavailable.
After that do not get weak and try to let him draw you back into the outdated system. No texting. No calling. No Facebook stalking.
My personal hunch is it isn’t the man for your family, but this friendship is in some way keeping you from fulfilling an extremely fantastic guy.
