Description

The island may be a paradise for some and hell for others. The play relates a real fact: the double assassination of a husband and wife. They had spent decades in France. They save and carefully plan a retirement, entrusting their dream project to their nephew. Building a home in one’s home country in the process to assist more unlucky members of the family. Misunderstandings about intent and diverging cultures lead to the tragedy. Money and religion make matters worse. The play in 3 acts was created in Mauritius in 2017 to critical acclaim.
